Ahmed Kabil is a writer, editor and multimedia storyteller. He joined Long Now in 02017.
At Long Now, he writes, edits, and commissions articles on long-term thinking. From 02019-21, he served as Long Now’s Head of Social Media. He has also edited Long Now’s talks, social videos, and end-of-year fundraising videos.
Previously, Ahmed worked in digital journalism and the networked arts and humanities. He pioneered a number of multimedia storytelling formats in the early 02010s as part of Zeega (acquired by BuzzFeed) and as a Research Fellow at metaLAB (at) Harvard. He was also a staff writer and Founding Head of Video at Timeline.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s in History from Reed College, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Creative Writing at The University of Cambridge.
